NEC bike show?
« on: 15 November, 2014, 19:51:06 »
Anyone going this year?
I have been the last 4 years but I think I will give it a miss for a year or two.

If you have never been then yep worth going.

I like looking at the bike, put with regards to bargins on clothing etc they don't seem as good anymore.
Once you rember your ticket price, food, ect then poroberly the same price as online if not more.

All though free indoor parking of bikes is good but then you have all your gear with you and its a ?5 to store it but it does go to charity.  (Unless you leave it with your bike)

This is a great event just don't go expecting loads of bargains.
It's more for having a mooch about at all the new gear and bikes for next season/year.
And podium girls...worth the entry fee on their own!  ;)

I went Tuesday, it was quite quiet so got to see all I wanted and ended up buying my first Arai helmet and for a bargain ?199.99. Met Michael Rutter - Legend

Took the bike but temperature was -2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon - Not fun

Well I was there Wednesday picked up an AGV lid for ?150 with a tinted visor and it's the dogs! Had it on for 3 hours today, compared to my Shark Vision R it's lighter, quieter, vents work, less wind resistance and looks like ?600 worth, love it! Also got an RST Raptor 2 touring coat which is superb at ?130!
Plenty fine fillies and bikes to dribble over, that 300+bhp kwaka sounded amazing......
Oh ye..... I'm back :D
